Bowie-Barbie: Mattel kündigt Puppe im Ziggy-Stardust-Look an
Spielzeug würdigt David Bowie als "Pop Chamäleon"
Die Barbie ist wie die Kunstfigur Ziggy Stardust gekleidet, die David Bowie im Jahr 1971 für sein Album "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars" erfunden hatte und steht für eine bisexuelle Figur aus dem All.
Mattel sagt über die 50-Dollar-Barbie:
"In a definitive celebration of two pop culture icons, Barbie honours the ultimate pop chameleon, English singer, songwriter and actor David Bowie, whose dramatic musical transformations continue to influence and inspire".
Die Bowie-Barbie wird die typischen roten Stiefel tragen und einen gestreiften Jumpsuit sowie das ikonische Make-Up, das die Figur Ziggy Stardust berühmt machte.
